——Satellite Applications and Applied Satellites Call for Papers

The Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA) and the International Academy of Aeronautics (IAA) are pleased to hold jointly the 3rd IAA Conference on Advanced Space Systems and Applications with the theme of Satellite Applications and Application Satellites from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, 2008. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss and exchange ideas on how satellite applications and applied satellites impacts the sustainable economic growth and brings benefits for the mankind, at the same time, to explore the possibility for developing cooperative projects.
The Conference will be held in Shanghai, China.
Shanghai is one of the largest economic and trade centers, a comprehensive industrial base and a leading port in China, as well as a famous historical and cultural city. It owns many modern conference facilities and it’s also one of China’s important space locations. The transportation is quite convenient nationally and internationally.
English will be the working language of the Conference.
The conference would provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of topics related to the theme, “Satellite applications and applied satellites”. Papers are invited in the following areas of the conference Sub-themes:

An abstract of a maximum of 500 words will be expected to be received no later than 30th March 2008.Prospective participants will be informed or notified of the acceptance of their abstracts on or before 10th of May, 2008. Abstracts of Papers intended for Presentation at the Symposium must be written in English on a single A4 page with the title, Author's name, e-mail, affiliation and complete address. Note that abstracts should be submitted in, Microsoft Word (10 point Times New Roman) and with bolded headings. Authors are encouraged to send abstracts by e-mail or to send also a disk copy for PC-compatible.
The related technical visit and exhibition will be organized during the Conference.
