AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

        The Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA) and the International Academy of Aeronautics (IAA) are pleased to hold jointly the 3rd IAA Conference on Advanced Space Systems and Applications with the theme of Satellite Applications and Application Satellites from Oct. 28 to Oct. 31, 2008. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss and exchange ideas on how satellite applications and applied satellites impacts the sustainable economic growth and brings benefits for the mankind, at the same time, to explore the possibility for developing cooperative projects.

AUTHOR’S INFORMATION

       Author is requested to prepare PPT in advance for presentation and provide a very brief introduction (name, affiliation, main work involved) to your session co-chairs before your session.
       Total of 20 minutes (nominally 15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes question and answer) is for Technical Session, and total of 30 minutes (25 minutes presentation and 5 minutes questions and answers) for the Keynote speech.
       LCD projectors and computer for PowerPoint presentation will be available in all meeting rooms.

TECHNICAL TOUR

Technical visit to Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology
Friday, October 31 Morning
       A half-day technical visit to Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology will be organized in the morning from 09:00 to 11:30 of October 31(Free of charge).

Technical visit to Xichang Satellite Launch Center
Saturday to Sunday, Oct 31 (Afternoon)-Nov 2

        And also we are planning to organize a technical tour to Xichang Satellite Launch Center (If the participants are no more than 8, this tour will be cancelled). This tour will cost 940 EURO (single room) or 880 EURO (double room) for each person, which includes round-trip air tickets, local transportation, accommodation and meals. Here below is the tentative schedule of the visit:
